Graham has had 45 years experience in the Financial Services industry. From 1978-1992 he was Financial Controller of Mercantile Mutual Life Insurance Company prior to becoming Head of Distribution Development from 1992 – 2002 for the same company.

In January 2003 Graham established The Encore Group as an independent business consulting group specialising in Practice Management for the Financial Services sector. In November 2011 Encore was acquired by van Eyk Research. In late 2014 van Eyk were placed into liquidation. In July 2015 Graham repurchased the Intellectual Property and brand from the liquidators.

As well as continuing his Practice Management consulting, Graham is works with Caboodle Financial Services as they establish and deliver their innovative and exciting Financial Services proposition that assists existing advisers to achieve their business lifestyle balance.

He is also a director of The Blackbox Factory which is involved in the provision of innovate technology solutions to the industry through its Smarter Compliance product.

As a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, and with extensive experience in developing and driving strategic initiatives in the financial services industry, Graham provides tremendous knowledge and strategic thinking for the benefit of his clients. He regularly speaks at industry conferences and is frequently quoted in trade press.

Tom brings 24 years experience in the financial services market, working in product, marketing, retail, corporate, sales and advice at MLC, Russell Investments and consultancy. From 2008-2014 Tom was Managing Director of Godfrey Pembroke Limited and the General Manager of MLC’s broader self-employed financial advice network covering 850 advisers. In 2011 Godfrey Pembroke won the Core Data “Best Reputation” award, and in 2012, Garvan and Apogee were the “Core Data” leading two licensees in the market under his leadership.

Tom has served as a Director of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, and was also jointly responsible for determining grants to mental health initiatives for the MLC Community Foundation.  He currently chairs and sits on a number of SME advisory boards. 

Tom is a well known figure and commentator on industry trends and the implications of regulatory reform. His opinion is often sourced in industry publications and acts as a mentor and coach for leaders of advisory groups. 


Mark is an experienced Sales and Financial Services Executive having coached and lead significant businesses within the Australian Financial Services & Banking market. He is driven to help build a better industry and to help businesses deliver more and better life changing advice - better advice means a better Australian community where financial literacy and financial well-being is the norm, not the exception.

Having spent many years developing 100’s of profitable Sales and Financial Services businesses, by understanding what sits at the heart of these businesses and connecting them to the right solutions, systems and people to make them grow and succeed over the long term. As a practical results-oriented leader, trainer, educator and coach, Mark consults with his client businesses to help them cultivate, nurture and maintain long-term relationships that deliver both commercial and customer outcomes.

Mark's signature strength is uncovering what’s truly important (your why) and building new capability (i.e. implementing) to help businesses get to where they want to get to. He is known for being a leading authority in bringing together Planning and Broking groups to deliver integrated Debt Advice and Planner Broker solutions. As an experienced business leader and performance coach, he draws on his experience with a practical real-world view on sales and leadership to help clients improve performance and realise their business and human potential.

Vivienne Rossano

Vivienne is responsible for the day to day running of the business; and brings extensive client engagement and change management expertise that will be of future value to our clients. These are growing areas of need and will help Encore continue to deliver on our purpose “...to inspire the industry to play the long game successfully and bring trusted Advice to more Australians...".

Vivienne is an organizing specialist with over 2 decades of successful experience organising within professional, personal and domestic environments. Vivienne has a high attention to detail whilst also having a clear concept of the bigger picture. This is demonstrated in over a decade’s experience operating in the financial services industry providing invaluable sales support and service to both internal and external clients and running her interior design business which aims to create functional living spaces.

A strong believer in the power of positive thinking and personal responsibility, Vivienne develops these qualities within herself on a daily basis through her yoga practice and the raising of her 3 sons. Vivienne enjoys family holidays to far and exciting places and can also be found exercising her much loved Labrador Bella.
